List of facilities and activities that can cause soil contamination

In order to facilitate the identification of the contaminated sites, the Soil Decree devotes specific attention to activities and facilities that can cause soil contamination.
These activities or facilities are included in the VLAREBO implementation order. Land, on which a facility is or was established or on which an activity is being conducted or was conducted that is included in this list, is required to undergo an exploratory soil investigation in the following cases:

• On transfer of the land;
• On closure of the facility or cessation of the activity;
• For certain types of categories within a certain time frame and periodically thereafter.
