The soil certificate

One of the key objectives of the Decree of 27 October 2006 on Soil Remediation and Soil Protection (Soil Decree) is to protect a potential buyer of a land that might be polluted. The purpose of the Decree is to avoid that land, which is at risk, is transferred to a buyer who is not aware of the possible problems with regard to the land in question.
On the transfer of any type of land, the parties involved in the transaction are provided under the Decree with the following tools:

• The Land information;
• The list of facilities and activities that can cause soil contamination;
• The soil certificate.
